Ocean cruising is arguably the best overall "value holiday" option anywhere in the world.
You can cover all your transport, quality accommodation with daily room attendants, delicious all-you-can-eat food on tap all day, plus amazing live shows and other entertainment for adults and kids alike every day and night.
Included are the fabulous pools and spas, high quality theme-park style activities (photos from our recent cruise to the Pacific Islands on Royal Caribbean's "Quantum of the Seas" ), as well as sensational new scenery, experiences and adventures in your ports of call.
If you haven't already guessed, Royal Caribbean is our preferred cruise line. It has the five largest cruise ships in the world (and the largest cruising from Australia), is mid-range on price and at the upper end on quality, entertainment and overall service.
Check out the Royal Caribbean website and see for yourself.

Cruising from Australia and New Zealand is a multi-billion dollar business that took a massive hit during the Covid pandemic, but it’s bouncing back at a rapid rate.
Regular cruisers are lining up in droves to “get back on the bike” (or ship), so to speak, and there are plenty of first time cruisers joining them.
If you’ve never cruised before, it’s worth checking it out.
Due to Australia’s favourable weather, cruises operate year round, with the peak season from early Spring until late Autumn. Peak cruising time in New Zealand is October to April, with a short winter season from April to July.
Search the different cruise company websites, chat to a travel agent, or simply search online for “best cruise deals” or “cruise to ......." and add your destination.
