Once the virtual centre of world progress, for many decades China was a closed and mysterious country that often brought confusion, fascination and perhaps a little fear (of the unknown) to many people around the world.
But since opening up over the last 20 years, China has shown the world that it is an amazing country filled with intriguing national customs and culture; unbelievable history going back to the dawn of civilization; and a spectacular and diverse landscape that ranges from the world’s highest peak Mt Everest to the world’s lowest land mass, 154 metres below sea level.
China is the largest and most populous country in Asia and is the third largest country in the world. In addition to the massive mainland, China comprises more than 3,000 islands so don’t think you can cover much on an overnight trip!

Beijing - The capital of China and the birthplace of the Chinese culture.
Still very traditional in so many ways Beijing is the best place to visit to experience the "true" Chinese culture, with the Great Wall and Forbidden City being the two highlights.
Shanghai - The fastest growing city in China. Much like Hong Kong, Shanghai is buzzing with business growth.
Amazing architecture is seen alongside traditional Chinese culture.
