Paris - the capital
Paris has for many years been portrayed as the city of romance, and many young couples are attracted by the ‘love in the air’ feel about this city. The French culture is romantic in every way from the elegance of their restaurants to their language and their mannerisms.
It is however also the economic, historic, cultural and artistic capital of France. Like many large historic European cities it is traditional, almost village-like in some parts. The river Seine bisects Paris - the Right Bank is home to the grand boulevards and monumental buildings while the Left Bank has a significantly different Bohemian atmosphere and the most popular range of bars and restaurants.
The most famous and instantly recognizable landmark is the Eiffel Tower and a trip to Paris would not be complete without an indulgent stroll along the Champs-Elysees
