New Zealand
New Zealand's spectacular landscape includes many fascinating islands, vast (often snow-covered) mountain ranges, romantic beaches, hissing volcanoes, sweeping coastlines with fascinating inlets and bays, deeply indented fiords and lush rainforests.
Although it is roughly comparable in size to Japan, New Zealand's population is only around four million which makes it one of the world's least crowded countries. It is a haven for those seeking peace, rejuvenation and relaxation as well as a playground for thrill seekers and adventurers.
The aptly-named Bay of Islands is teeming with fish and is a game-fishing Mecca, and the natural hot water springs that are amazingly close to ancient glaciers are a sign that Mother Nature produces the most spectacular wonders. There are countless trekking destinations that weave from the mountains to the sea and back, like the Abel Tasman track; and there are some magnificently beautiful cities and villages that are quite famous in their own right, such as Queenstown, Dunedin, Christchurch, Auckland and of course the capital Wellington.
The Maori culture makes a plentiful statement in everyday life, but there are also many villages and customs that fascinate and intrigue – you must witness the Haka, the traditional Maori war chant and challenge with many aggressive sounds and movements – in its natural environment
A temperate climate with relatively small seasonal variation makes it an ideal year-round holiday destination, except when you are challenging the snow fields that offer some renowned skiing slopes and magnificent scenery.

New Zealand has countless tourist attractions and activities across the country – your can go onto many farms and pick strawberries and kiwifruit (eating as you go); enjoy adrenaline-pumping thrill adventures like wild river rafting, glacier hiking, sky diving and bungee jumping; or take a relaxing spa in one of the many hot springs.

My partner and I stayed at Millbrook Resort, which is 15mins out of Queenstown. It's a beautiful 5 star resort on a golf course with the most amazing views of the mountains.
The service was amazing, the resort was beautiful, and I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else for a relaxing holiday.
The resort had 3 restaurants, a bar and a spa - with amazing services! and the most scenic golf course I've ever seen. And not to forget the outside hot pools! From our bedroom you could see Coronation Peak - one of the ski fields.
Queenstown is the Adventure capitol of the world - bungee jumping, lunging, paragliding, and of course skiing. Millbrook Resort is close enough without being in the centre of everything, and is a truly relaxing place to stay.. not to mention romantic!
I'd recommend this resort to everyone from holiday makers, to honeymooners, to people just wanting to escape from reality. (Helen Galloway - Perth Western Australia)
