Mykonos
Mykonos has a reputation as the party island for the young however you will find people of all ages enjoying the beautiful beachside culture. There is also another side to Mykonos with its amazing archeological sites and cosmopolitan environment.
Mykonos island is part of the Cyclades group in the Aegean Se and along with Santorini and Crete is one of the most famous and popular Greek islands attracting thousands of visitors every year.
The island is spectacular with the picturesque whitewashed houses and blue domed churches. The main attraction to Mykonos, which is quite different to Santorini, is the magnificent sandy beaches with rows upon rows of day beds, restaurants and music.
The Greek island is famous for its exciting nightlife, parties and promiscuous young party goers that it attracts.
While visiting Mykonos recently I found that it was a safe, very laid back, exciting and enjoyable holiday destination. One I would highly recommend to all ages from young families to retirees.
If you would like to soak in the sun and enjoy a daybed on the beach, it will cost you and prices can be from 15euros to 50euros. The day beds are connected to different restaurants so check out prices of food before you commit to booking a day bed for the day.

Crete
Crete is high on the list of favourite Greek Islands and renowned for its natural beauty and diverse landscape. The spectacular views of mountain ranges, caves and rugged gorges that find their way out to sea is contrasted by huge plateaus and fertile plains. Eastern Crete has Europe’s only palm-tree forest beach and the south coast has stunning beaches sheltering several isolated coves.
